Bonus Activity: Additional Films Dealing with Philosophy

Synecdoche New York (2008) is an outstanding film that relates heavily to the philosophical theme of personal identity/ontology.  Like Fight Club, it involves the central character hitting rock bottom and looks at how he copes with his circumstances.

Another film involving personal identity is The President's Analyst (1967).  This movie has a satirical edge and is generally much lighter in tone than most of the films we looked at this semester.  It explores how various stresses can have a resounding effect on the identity of the central character.

    there... maybe"
